Wrecked $1.2 Billion B-2 Bomber

Remember when we told you about the B-2 Stealth Bomber that crashed in Guam, turning 1.2 billion dollars of plane into a fiery wreck? Well, now we have pictures of it, and it ain’t pretty. Feast your eyes on one of the most expensive accidents ever and be thankful it wasn’t you who had to explain what happened to your boss. Hit the jump to see a shot of what a B-2 Bomber looks like when it isn’t a steaming pile of scrap metal. [via Gizmodo]

Aliph Jawbone 2 Exposed

Aliph Jawbone 2 Exposed

So there are a couple of big complaints about Aliph’s otherwise-lauded Jawbone noise canceling Bluetooth headset: one, it’s rather porky, and two, the charge connector is about as reliable as a Comcast installation appointment. Hang tight, though, because help is on the way — help in the form of the Jawbone 2. The new model just broke through the FCC’s surly bonds in full visual glory, showing a headset that maintains the distinctive industrial design of the original while getting just a bit smaller and adopting a new connector that looks moderately less sketchy. The last thing we all want to do is blow another hundred on the next best headset, but if this means we can run a teleconference standing next to a freight train traveling 40 miles per hour and do it in style, count us in. ‘If I Were King’: How Diddy Does It All

10 04 2008

Diddy brings his Midas touch to just about every venture. He’s made music, bands, movies, fashion, vodka, J. Lo… the list goes on and on. Some people call him an icon, I like to call him King Combs (cuz it sounds kinda like King Kong). MTV aired a documentary on the royal homeslicelast night at 10pm.

How Diddy Does It All

If I Were King chronicles Diddy’s daily life as he prepares for his Sean John menswear line’s runway show at Fashion Week in NYC. After five years on the industry DL, Diddy wants to get his swagger back and impress fashion bad-boys Posen, Cavalli, and Rodriguez. The doc also lends some insight into how Diddy became such a success and why no one dares to say “no” to him. Seriously, he’s one scary, anal, make-you-wanna-bawl boss. As one of his employees says, “There’s no Sean John show without tears. There’s no Sean Jean show without someone storming out.” Sounds like an hour-long special of The Hills, minus all the white chicks.

So make sure you tune in for the show. The King is watching you…

Nike Gyrizo BMX Dunk

10 04 2008

Nike Gyrizo BMX Dunk

We present you one of the most interesting releases by Nike to be coming out this summer. Just this morning we presented the Hyperdunk, the lightest basketball shoe to ever be produced by Nike, and here comes some more heat now. Once again the brand shows its drive to innovation and presents with the Dunk Gyrizo an interesting and practical product for anybody interesting in biking.

Nike Gyrizo BMX Dunk 2

BMX, or Bicycle Moto Cross is the non-motorized version of motocross, but also includes freestyle and jumping. The sport is making its Olympic debut in Beijing this August and Nike athletes will be outfitted in innovative footwear and uniforms.

Nike Gyrizo BMX Dunk 3

“Looks like a dunk, but acts like Lance’s cleat.” That statement sums up the power and impact of the Nike Dunk Gyrizo, a shoe specifically designed for BMX racing. The Gyrizo, which is Greek for wheel, is actually built on the same cycling last as Lance Armstrong’s cleat. The external portion of the shoe looks like Nike’s wildly popular Dunk model, but the design of the internal plate transfers power in the up and down strokes of the rider. A strap on the upper and a lace pocket keep laces out of the rider’s spokes while a durable outsole compound was integrated to accommodate a wider bike pedal. Kevlar lace and metal grommets are also used to maximize durability. Rubber and thinner midsole on the shoe allow a rider to walk easily before and after races.

The outcome is a shoe that does not only look good, but is functional at the same time, and more you cannot ask for. We also hear rumors, that the design of the shoe has been done by TET of WTAPS.

Spied: Nissan GT-R Spec V confirmed

Nissan GT-R Spec V confirmed

The spy shots previously seen of a higher-performance GT-R have been confirmed by inside sources as the Spec V model, which will both shed poundage and gain power compared to its baser sibling. Weight is expected to drop by over 300 pounds thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber, and as for how much power the twin-turbo 3.8L V6 will make in Spec V trim… some are saying 550 – 600 horsepower.

MOB x Colette x Reebok Freestyle 2

The first thing you notice when looking at these shoes are the Married to the Mob lips that dominate the look. The lips are used freely throughout the shoe and stand out well against the white background.

Tandem face-to-face bike is great for first dates

Tandem face-to-face bike is great for first dates

What better way to acquaint yourself with a new love than riding with them on a completely ridiculous and presumably extremely complicated face-to-face tandem bike? Taiwanese inventor Chen Yugang decided to kick it up a notch and develop a bike that is as dangerous as it is ridiculous. Apparently, his new design can be ridden face to face, conventionally or (and here is the real kicker) back to back for couples looking to add a little rush to their romantic life.

Will the face-to-face bike be the next Razer scooter? Probably not, but it’s a nice gimmick.
